The Touchstone
The Touchstone
This one is made to be held. Mike carved it from a chalky Indiana limestone, drew chiseled lines down the face, and cut a small cross into the stone. The surface is the kind that takes the warmth of a hand — held often, it slowly deepens and patinas from the oils of your own skin. That’s not wear. That’s the piece becoming yours. Over months and years, the stone keeps a quiet record of being held.
At the top, a hollow holds one tea light. The flame is brief; the stone is not. And the more it’s touched, the more it carries of the one who keeps it.
“Reach hither thy finger… and be not faithless, but believing.” — John 20:27
A piece for the desk, the nightstand, the pause in the middle of a hard day — somewhere within reach.

How substantial are these pieces? Where should I display them?
They have a solid, powerful presence. These are heavy, heirloom-quality sculptures (typically weighing around 2 to 4 pounds). They are designed with a sturdy flat foundation, making them perfect for prominent display on a mantel, bookshelf, desk, or dedicated home-altar space where they won't easily tip.
