PoliciesCross and Stone Studio — St. Charles, IowaShippingEvery piece leaves our hands carefully, because it left Mike's hands carefully.Where we ship from All orders ship from our studio in St. Charles, Iowa. How long it takes Ready-to-ship pieces are packed and sent within 3–5 business days of your order. Because each sculpture is hand-carved from Indiana limestone or Iowa hardwood, every piece is one of a kind and prepared individually — we don't rush the wrapping any more than we rush the carving.Custom commissions are made to order. We'll give you a timeline when we discuss your piece, and we'll keep you posted along the way.How it travels Orders ship via USPS, with tracking provided by email once your piece is on its way. Each sculpture is wrapped in tissue, tucked into a jute bag, and sealed with our gold mark, then packed to survive the trip.Shipping cost Shipping is calculated at checkout based on the size and weight of your piece and your delivery address. If something arrives damaged Stone is sturdy, but the mail is not always gentle. If your piece arrives damaged, email us at studio@crossent.net within 7 days with a photo of the piece and the packaging, and we'll make it right. We currently ship within the United States. For international inquiries, reach out and we'll see what's possible.Returns & RefundsBecause every piece is carved by hand, no two are exactly alike — and we want you to be at peace with the one that comes to live with you.Ready-to-ship pieces If a ready-made piece isn't right for you, you may return it within 14 days of delivery for a refund of the item price. The piece must come back in its original, unused condition. Return shipping is the buyer's responsibility, and we ask that you pack it as carefully as we did. Once it arrives safely, we'll issue your refund to the original payment method.Custom and commissioned pieces Custom work is made for you and you alone, so these pieces are final sale and cannot be returned. We'll work closely with you before and during the process so the finished piece is one you'll be glad to hold.Damaged or wrong items If your piece arrives damaged or you received the wrong item, that's on us to fix. Email studio@crossent.net within 7 days of delivery with a photo, and we'll arrange a replacement or full refund. The honest part Natural variation in stone and wood — the grain, the tone, the small marks left by hand-carving — is the character of the work, not a flaw, and isn't grounds for return. It's the whole point. Faith you can hold looks a little different every time.Questions before you buy? Just ask. We'd rather talk it through first.Privacy PolicyWe're a small, family-run studio, and we treat your information the way we'd want ours treated.Who we are Cross and Stone Studio, based in St. Charles, Iowa.
