Some things don’t need to announce themselves.
This is one of them.
A block of limestone — rounded at the corners, cool to the touch, the color of an overcast sky — holds a small wood cross on its face. The cross is whitewashed, rough at the edges, bound at the center with a wrap of leather cord. A leather strap loops over the back, tucked against the stone like it belongs there — for hanging, or just to carry it from room to room.
It’s a quiet piece. Not decorative in the way that demands attention. More like something you glance at on the way out the door, or reach for without thinking when the day gets heavy.
Handmade by Mike in small batches. No two are identical — the stone varies, the wood varies, the cord sits a little differently each time. Tea light included.

How substantial are these pieces? Where should I display them?
They have a solid, powerful presence. These are heavy, heirloom-quality sculptures (typically weighing around 2 to 4 pounds). They are designed with a sturdy flat foundation, making them perfect for prominent display on a mantel, bookshelf, desk, or dedicated home-altar space where they won't easily tip.
