The Carpenter's Stone
He worked with his hands. So does this studio.
The Carpenter's Stone is a hand-carved Indiana limestone sculpture — small, dense, and cut square by hand, with a carved recess that holds light. The stone face bears a cross in the spirit of the Carpenter from Nazareth: plain, functional, built to endure.
Set it on a mantle, a windowsill, a workbench. Let it do what it was made to do.
2.5" x 2.5", 1 lb. One of a kind, made by hand in Iowa.
Materials: Indiana limestone, hand carved hardwood, natural leather or hard wire depending on piece. All materials are natural and weather resistant.
Care: Wipe clean with a dry or lightly damp cloth. Avoid prolonged soaking. Leather straps may be conditioned with a light leather balm to maintain suppleness. Indoor display recommended for longest life, though pieces tolerate outdoor use in sheltered settings.
Note: Because every piece is carved by hand from natural stone, color, texture, and grain will vary. No two are alike.
